covered racing for a number of daily newspapers across New England before publishing Shorttrack magazine, which featured the sport in the region. He’s served as Technical Editor for Trackside magazine as well as a senior editor for Late Model Racer and New England Correspondent for Late Model Digest.
Ring was a race-winning kart driver and a solid  middle-of-the-packer in a dirt midget. He lives in Rhode Island with his wife, singer-songwriter Jan Luby.



THE RED RACECAR  AND MOTOCROSS SUMMER COVER-ILLUSTRATOR FRANKIE B. WASHINGTON is a graduate of the Butera School of Art with 23 years freelance experience in the art industry. He's worked on two Miramax films (Squeeze & Next Stop Wonderland), animation (Olive Jar Studios), advertising (Digitas LBI), editorial art (SoCo Magazine), book-illustrations (Cemetary Dance Magazine) and trading cards (SunstoneGames).
He's the co-creator/artist of a graphic novel titled Robot God Akamatsu which is published by Zetabella. He continues to create art and currently resides in Rhode Island with his writer-muse girlfriend, Jess, and a spirited black cat named Shadow.



DINOSAUR RACING  COVER-ILLUSTRATOR MARY ANN ROSSONI holds a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design. She is the principal designer and owner of Second Story Graphics in Providence, RI specializing in the branding of small and start-up businesses. In addition to design she is a fine artist working mostly in acrylic mediums depicting a wide range of visual topics. When not designing or painting, Mary Ann is a performing songwriter and has many recordings of her original compositions.
